ok heres my debut post and yes i dare to ask for advice

any way heres my question: as a fire ele i was wondering what type of magic i should switch to after the wilds? i was thinking of going to my darker nec side but i like using ele skills but i want to be effective..... and i know that there are fire resistant creatures for the most part after a certain point in the game..... so what would you guys and gals suggest?

I'd suggest that you concentrate more on your primary profession and use the secondary profession to back up your primary.
Actually, I don't think you need to use any necro skills if you want to just plain nuke...not sure though.

Stalkers (? those stick-like creatures), plants, and of course, ice creatures are weak against fire damage.

I'd suggest sticking mostly with fire magic. Have tried the other ele lines but they are limited in use. Right now my ele is a mesmer secondary and i use some of the shut down skills at times.

hmmm what about once i reach the ring of fire and them? wouldnt that limit my damage?

... Winter is a spirit which turns all elemental damage to cold damage; ie, use your Meteor Shower and Firestorm with abandon, to great effect!

hmm yes i remember now that was the reason i was reluctant to do an ele..... at the end my ranger had like 400000000000 join requests once i said i had winter...... i would hate to stress a ranger out that way but hey if it works..........

i cant really think of any skills of necro that goes nicely with a nuker ele... maybe you should change profession after you ascend and go mes or mo

At the point that you're at, there probably isn't much in the Necro line that'll appeal to you. Put some points in Death and use Putrid Explosion and Rotting Flesh, perhaps.

Later on, an E/N can make pretty good use of the Offering of Blood elite as a quick energy booster.
