I just finished reading the nice and long QandA about the guildwars economy. It was really cool, but it didn't address something that I've been wondering recently. Why don't the traders have good things to give you? I mean, really, who's going to battle their way through swaths of enemies and collect 4 or 5 specific drops just to get to a trader that offers weaker armor than what they can cheaply buy from an armorer?
So, here's my idea. I think the traders should have things that are slightly better than what is offered in the nearest town. It can really be a lot of work to get the things their looking for. I think I really have only traded for 2 or 3 things from traders, because their stuff generally sucks. If it was better than what I can buy from an armorer or weaponsmith, then I might be willing to put in the extra time and effort to collect the necessary doodads.
Admittedly, I'm only in Kryta, and perhaps the traders are better later on, but I've been playing a long time and haven't seen much worth working for. Just my two cents.
Traders should have better stuff

well...
if ur a player who's poor it's much cheaper to just get the collector armor... plus i think the collector armor has a different look... i may be wrong tho

Poor? How could you possibly be poor in Guild Wars? The only armor I've ever really had to work for was the Ascalon Armor for the warrior and that was only to get enough fur squares. Armor is cheap.
