There is no earth armor for rangers. Now I know I'll get flamed for "earth does sucky damage, and the high power damage skills are armor piercing," but I'm over it already. There should be earth ranger armor for the sake of completeness. I just plain like earth. The other elements all have armor, but not earth. It should be added. This would be very nice.

But what would it be?
I mean, fur for cold and drakes for fire make sense.
Metal for lightning seemed a bit....moronic....but oh well.

All I can think of is something like Mudcaked Armor or
something....

most usefull earth spells ignore armor, so it wouldn't be smart to take this armor anyway.

mortalis, please read the OP in its entirety before you say something. I already said that. And as a counter to what you say, you could make the same argument for lightning. There are a lot of their spells with armor penetration, and its not like you notice the +15 armor on top of the 100 you have vs. elements anyway.

Mudcaked works for me. Branches, twigs, mud, something like a camo outfit. /signed, for what it's worth.

While I don't see any reason why there shouldn't be an earth armor for rangers, I feel compelled to point out the very important difference between "armor penetrating" and "armor ignoring." A few earth spells are armor ignoring, meaning that you'll always take the same damage, even if you're running around stark naked. Most air spells are armor penetrating, meaning that they'll lessen the effectiveness of your armor, but any extra armor you have is still helping you.

With that said, Elementalists have an earth armor, so I see no reason rangers shouldn't also. Afterall, not all earth spells are armor ignoring. Earthquake and Aftershock are some notable examples.

I think this is a good idea aginst Knockdown/Aftershock warriors and sand elementals/sand drakes and other earth elemental damagers.

The problem is, obsidian flame/crystal wave don't take in account armor.

Now before they do this, I hope, no, DEMAND, that they update the 15k Tormentor's armour first!

Fine, you can have your 15k Tormentors armor. But I still want ranger earth armor.
