Dragon's Gullet?

There is an area above the Diessa Lowlands in post-searing ascalon called the Flame Temple Corridor. Even farther above that there is an area called the Dragon's Gullet. Does the Dragon's Gullet maybe have a dragon in it? What is the significance of these 2 areas?

Flame Temple Corridor contains the quest for Agetha's Ashes, which you get from Piken Square or Fort Ranik, i can't remeber. Basically, spoliers ahoy, it's full of charr we didn't last long lol but yeah, there basically further on sections. I've no idea about the gulelt, as I haven't got past the flame corridor...

I know that the description in the quest Althea's Ashes says to go the Flame Temple Corridor, but that is NOT where you go. To complete Althea's Ashes you go straight through the Diessa Lowlands, sticking to the southern-most possible, until you hit a large open section with pyramid-type structures and loads of Charr. There are at least three boss-type characters in this area.

Back to the topic, the Dragon's Gullet, I haven't made it there either. Had the same problem as NoirQ, got nailed by the large groups of Charr in the Flame Temple Corridor...

Completed the Ashes quest just last night before passing out and you indeed need to go to the Flame Temple Corridor.

Maybe you're describing an alternate way to solve the quest, but the party I was in last night completed it by going to the objective marker in the Corridor.

Last time I was in Dragon's Gullet (during the betas) I didn't see any actual dragons, but there were plenty of hydrae.

I think Althea's ashes have moved from place to place. Her ghost hasn't always been in the same place, either. Just follow wherever your quest arrow takes you...

They just recently fixed the quest so the ashes are now indeed in the Flame Temple Corridor. I brought a friend to the giant pyraminds in Diessa Lowlands and the altar wasn't there, so we had to go to the Corridor to complete the quest.

Ahh, so there are no dragons in the Gullet? Dang, I wanted to take some friends dragon hunting for items and the like. And no, I dont mean lightning drake hunting.

Does anyone know if there are any towns in Dragons gullet - betwen the hydras and abomonations this is a really brutal territory to explore!

Anyone with any experience whether this are is of any worth to explore, please post?

From my wanderings around, it's got 2 collector's, a few neat things to see, and lots of Hydra's, Abomonation's and Tar Behemoth's.

Just made it up to Dragon's Gullet yesterday. Got the crap beat out of me going for the ashes, but the area you come back to life in is so close, I just kept taking one Charr out at a time, despite the fact I was down 50%....I made the mistake of disappearing into Dragon's Gullet during the ashes quest and all the freakin Char were back.
As far as the Dragon's gullet, I did not make it very far...tons of Hydra that knock you down even thought I tried running past them.
Anyone know if there are any quests in the area?

I don't think there is anything in Dragon's Gullet right now besides two collectors and LOTS of Hydrae, Abominations and Tar Behemoths. Maybe they will add something later on.

He gives you...A BAG.

A normal, plain-jane bag. Same as you can get a number of other places. For the cost of about 10 or more of the droppings from those Abominations. AMAZING!

Nothing special in DG, a W/Mo lvl 20 can solo with ease the full area, apart from the creatures and collectors there, nothing much else except some nice scenery.

Do it if you want to max out your mapping otherwise don't bother.

Unless you wanna play tag with those pesky Hydras, there is nothing else there of importance. Of course, there are some interesting images to be found on some of the stone walls around there.

Vai Althea's Ashes IS in the Flame Corridor. (North of the Diessa Lowlands tar pits)

Some friends and I explored every inch and killed every monster in Dragon's Gullet. Except for some neat scenerie, new monsters and new monster drops there is nothing in there.

However, it seems as if it may come into use latter on.. Don't know
