Problem with "Supplies for Duke" Quest

I recently completed the "Supplies for the Duke" Quest and the last objective in the quest was to report back to Gate Guard Hollis for my reward. The reward was some experience and 2 skills of my profession which is Ranger/Elementalist. When I returned to him to recieve my reward however, he simply said, "I go where the King needs me", and made no reference to the Quest. The quest was removed from my journal and I can no longer do it. Is it a bug or did I do something wrong?

Actully...it should have told you to report to Quartermaster...... in Piken Square... He's right near where you walk in

I did this quest with someone and they spoke to the Duke to get the reward but when I went to speak to him I didn't get the reward. Didn't even show that I've started it.
