I have a zealous stormbow of fortitude with the following stats :

Piercing Damage : 15-28 (Req 8 Marksmanship)
Damage +14% (always)
Energy -5
Energy gain on hit : 1
Energy regen : -1
HP+29

If i intend to remove the energy regen -1 mod, how do i do that? I intend to insert a sundering 10/10 to replace the energy regen -1 and a +30hp mod to this bow. Is it possible?

All advice and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I believe items work like rune upgrades. You just apply a new upgrade to it, and it'll replace the old one with the new one. (say if you were to have a zealous bow string, then change it with a vampiric string, it would change to vampiric bow instead of zealous....I think, because I havn't tried doing this).

Yes thats how it works.
The 10/10 sundering string will replace the zealous string.
And you can apply the +30 health mod to the bow.

Correct, sundering replaces zealous, and fortitute of 30 replaces fortitude of 29.

personally id keep the zealous string on the bow. it would be more useful than the sundering IMO

also, i would suggest carrying several different bows.

just note that the storm bow is in the longbow class, meaning it has the worst refire rate. so putting a sundering string on a storm bow and using it in battle isn't a very good idea when better alternatives are present.

unless of course you plan on selling this bow. then 10/10 sundering and +30 hp will most likely net you the most cash.

umm... no

Hornbows, Ivorybows and Shadowbows have the longest refire rate.

You kept mentioning replacing the -1 energy regen mod. You probably already know, but in case you weren't aware, the +1 energy on hit and the -1 energy regen mods come together as paired properties on the same bow string. Getting rid of one gets rid of the other.

my mistake. i forgot about the horn bow class.

regardless, the longbow still has a pretty poor refire rate.

That's debateable, I personally loathe zealous bowstrings, however I keep one handy. It depends on your fighting style, try find another max dmg bow and do it up.

If you are using "barrage" an elite skill, then the zealous bow string is probably a good idea.

if you alreayd have a +29 health mod on it, dont waste 50k on getting a +30 mod, when you already have pretty much the exact same thing

But then it'll be perfect.

No it won't. It's only 14% always.
