I must admit, Banebow raises an interesting point. I decided to post my reply in a new thread since it would steer to a totally different topic and is a suggestion in itself.

I recently started a new character and got a chance to remembered just how nice I felt getting skills as a quest reward. Not just skills, but weapons too, though that was usually not very great. Seems better than the "farming" for elites I was doing with my last character though. You can never get a damn group together to skill cap anyway. Especially when it's something very specific.

What happened to this idea in the later half of the game? Why did they choose to stop exactly? Farming sucks. It really sucks! I mean, only a portion of us actually like farming, unless I'm mistaken. The great thing about farming is you can end up with something truely unique that almost nobody else has. Heh... then sell it.

But why can't they make a few quests that are, firstly very obscure (quest-giver is hard to find), and secondly require FANTASTIC skill to complete. Perhaps even a multi-part quest where you don't get the reward until several days of episodic play. That would be terrific for roleplay guilds. I really think they need to beef up their story element anyway. Sorrow's Furnace was a step in the right direction. I'd actually do those quests again just for the fun of it, even if I had the rewards. LEEEEROOOOY STOOOONSKIIIIIN!!!!

But the Source of the Titans quest was not only uninteresting story-wise, it was pretty anti-climatic when my group brought down those bosses with ease. We had more trouble getting to them than we did actually beating them. And what did I get out of it? 1 or 2 skill points worth of experience. Great... I've already got every skill I could possibly get. I can't use them. Maybe I should change my secondary or something.

...Err... got off on a bit of a rant there, so let me just wrap this up. Conclusion: Please make the story element and the quests more rewarding to play and you've got an even more amazing game.

I agree they need to build on story, and offer some quest-only-attainable skills.
