warrior attributes

I plan on putting 12 attrib in swordmanship, 10 in earth/fire/water magic (havent decided which one) and 12 in either tactics or strength. What attribute is more important to a W/E, tactics or strength? And do you still get a total of 200 attrib points? I'm at lvl 8 now and only have 35 - I read that you get 10 a lvl. I'm assuming you get a higher total of points each level as it increases.
