Because theyre common and easy to get, same thing applies for weapons. People attempt to drive up prices by putting on cheap, easy to get mods that look nice on weapons.

I got a bow grip +29hp for 3k, slap it on a 15>50 bow and watch its price jump up much more than that.

I really don't like it,but there is something worse....add 1 (or 2)perfect mods on a crappy weapon...the nice thing is that they can only get one of them back...
