hehe, these questions have been asked a ton of times on the forums if you do a search youll find more comments on the whole level 20 thing. Heck I think there is a sticky on top of this forum area.
Anyway...me and my friends have been playign since launch nad right now we are all level 13. I think we have not even uncovered half the map yet. We are almost to Lions Arch which is one of main cities.
Anyway... the game doesnt end at 20. In the majority of players opinions this is when the game just begins. While playing a RP character up to that level you get treated to a nice story in the big cooperative missions and you unlock skills and items that you can later use on your PvP characters to make them non-gimp hehe.
Even after level 20 you still continue to get points to use on your character so its not like your character comes to a complete halt.
The game has a ton of PvE content and the world is huge...and PvP is actually very fun. Ive never played PvP in other games similar to this. It always sucked. In this game it is actually fun.
Anyway...look around you can find much this info with a couple forum searches.

However as there are several areas in the game with lvl 20+ enemies to fight, after you reach lvl 20 there is still a lot of PvE left, then like it was said you can go on to PvP and play more.
I have reached lvl 16 with my character (started the day before release because i had the preorder), of course i have been playing for many hours a day. I am still not even HALF-way through with all the missions and quests in PvE. So while the level cap may be at 20, it is still a lot of gameplay.

Bong I think the running consensus is 30 - 70. 30 percent of the game is getting to level 20 and 70 percent after and all expansions are going to be primarily aimed at 20th level character content. Should be plenty to do

With level 20 being the cap, you won't have to wait 1,000 game play hours ot grind out 300 attribute points before you can get the the "raid content". GW is a game that rewards you for being skilled, and not awarding you for not having a life.
