Action was taken against the spammer at the time he was spamming. I was one of the dudes that sent the OP a whisper =p. I reported the real spammer instead, (who i tell you was banned, even though they dont say that in the support response).

They probably just slapped you with a ban because of the amount of spam you were generating which was rather annoying.

There were 8 virgoods spammers in 8 different districts, 4 in american and 4 in international, they all got banned. Virgoods simply creates new accounts to continue spamming. As of the latest swear filter change to mark out their web address they changed the spam to VIRG00DS.COM (replacing o with zero)

They do take action... its just the spam botters have billions of account!! :P

Meh. Some of you can complain about free speech and getting angry at people for reporting things but fact is that it's totally avoidable. If you've got any brains at all you'd know to avoid typing things that could get you into trouble.

Nothing personal against the OP and I really don't think he meant any harm at all, but he did a dumb thing and now he's learning a valuable lesson. Pretending to be a spambot selling goods is NOT such a bright idea.

Virgood keeps spamming the whole tombs away to the point that it's pointless to actually type something in allchat, and innocent people are getting banned instead ;P.

ANet doesnt even need reports to ban these guys ... they just need someone to finally log on ANY tombs district and just keep clicking on ban - virgood is ALWAYS there!!!!

2 thoughts, not saying what you did was right or wrong, but evidently you rubbed someone the wrong way

1. What ever happened to good ol' fashioned role playing? Keeping chat to in game stuff is always the best idea. You really never know what's going to offend someone nowadays.

2. Save the out of game rants, musings, imitations for a forum of like minded gamers like this one.
