Special Edition PVE items?

This last part is not crystal clear to me. I know a lot of us are collectors of items with unique skins. The word "unlock" seems to be synonymous with PVP. I would have loved to have gotten the Canthan Targe with the Best Buy pre-order but I live in europe.

So could one of the Anet folk or perhaps someone who buys this Special Edition inform the rest of us as to what exactly these unlocked items are? If they were to include/provide us with more unique items for our RP characters with this special edition, I'm sure more of us would be willing to fork out the £30 or so they are asking for.

Preorder items can be acquired by using the /preorder command. You can use this command as many times as you want and on all your RP/PvP characters. The item is customized and it cannot be sold nor salvaged. I guess they'll add a similar 'unlock' function for Special Edition items. Now I'd be curious to see if the SE items are cool enough to buy it, or if there are just minor differences with existing models/textures.

I hope they give the collectors edition accounts access to new items after all we paid more too. This reminds me of the directors cut films where they just try to get you buy the film twice.
