Hello,
I have heard that several developers from Arena Net are reading these forums casually, so I thought about suggesting an idea of mine for a character, which maybe will be adapted into the game in some of the next expansion sets.

The game currently has 4 forms of spell casters: The monk, which dealers with Religious magic. The Necromancer, which deals with Magic of the dead. The elementalist, which deals with magic which spins around the elements. And finally, the Mesmer, which deals with the energy of the chaos, and the manipulating of the magical energy.

My idea of a new character will be a fifth type of a spell caster, which deals with the art of time, space and teleportation.
This class could teleport enemies characters away for a distance which depends on the teleport attribute; he could paralyze characters, hasten characters of course and so on.
The class could also control Black holes and other space disruptions to cause damage/hexes on its enemies, or deploy Teleport spots/Traps/Gates to give its allies manners of getting from one place to anther quickly, such as from a respawn point to an enemy guild lord (a normal skill would be a 1 way teleport, an elite will be a double way teleport, and the amount of people who could enter would depend on the attribute), or visa versa.

I would be honored if anyone which works in Arena Net will read what I wrote above and think about it seriously. Personally, I think it would make a great and totally new add-on to the game.

My Email is: [email protected] (For any comments about the class).

Thank you for reading my suggestion.

seems a bit weird but i guess that would be kool.....a bit far out from Guild Wars but still kool...but i dont know why you would want to control a black hole though....

This is a decent idea because 1) It's pretty original and 2) It's not a berserker, rogue, assassin, or engineer.

Personally I've always like time/space manipulation. It would be nice to see some form of this in the future.

Add the ability to give energy to teammates and you'd have exactly what I was idly thinking of while I was out with my dogs.. O_o

Your suggestion sounds interesting and somewhat original. The final boss has some skill or effect which teleports you at the distance (mainly to lava) so it might give a hint that something similar skill(s) is going to happen. Also Glint has its skill which heals from elemental damage. That is another hint what is coming, I guess.

BTW: if someone has Baldur's Gate I/II or Icewind Dale I/II manual, you notice that GW has similar caster skills a lot. There lies tons of hints what we might see in the near future.
