Req. 8 staff with 9% improved casting speed AND max dmg is worth more then 1k. You can get 5-25k easy if you find the right mesmer. But if you want a quick sale then sell it for that price. Just have to find the right mesmer who uses domination to pay for it. Add perfect mods and you can get even more.
Axe is about right price wise.

Sold mesmer staff for 1.5k, I've had these so long and not succeeded in selling them that I'm not too bothered about their price now they're just annoyin me
