As long as 8 good players can do ~1000 damage and strip ~3 enchantments from a single target of their choice within 1/2 second, ranged and while covering from the enemy, something is wrong in this game!
Of course there is a preperation time for such an attack, but as long as this can kill a ghostly with no chance to cover him, why try to cover the ghostly hero anyways? The answere to extreme spiking is iway and similar, it doesnt even try to defend the ghostly hero.
Divine Boon, Divine Intervention and Watchful Spirit should not be essential!
fix that spiking stupidity for more variety. its about time.

the exeption being warriors dont have ranged attacks, but of course they can spike quite well despite that.

no they cant and its not about ballancing its about defending the ghostly hero.
Warriors can only do as much damage in that time if they are supported by 3 different necromancers, what a sucky spike compared to others.

your suggestion is more of a rant then a proposal for improvement. You propose no alternative then 'stop spiking'. No explanation what kind of spikes you meant (ranger spike? something else?), no explanation how this spiking should be stopped. A very limited post, where there is hard to constructively respond to in anyway.
I do will point out that spiking will always exist in one form or another. So spiking can and will not be stopped.
BTW: I'll eagerly await your build for 8 man that is able to do 1000 damage and 3 enchantments stripped in 1/2 second.
