I'm not sure what influence NCSoft has on ArenaNet, but with games primarily developed by NCSoft there are always Special Events on holidays.
This can be from special creatures that appear in certain zones, special drops, change in the weather .... etc.
The only similarity that I see ArenaNet has taken from NCSoft was the Costume Contest. It would be nice if they added something within the game.

Bah, I hate gnomes. I hope Guild Wars will never have them either. Maybe arenanet will change all the armors to some halloween costumes, for say, maybe the warrior fissure helmet will be a carved jack-o-lantern.

B4 buying GW many many months ago (maybe 5-6) I saw some promo movies, and i seen pics, that show towns and cities with fireworks overhead.......but ive never seen fireworks in the game, and i finished it 4 times 0.o so....whats the go there? ANd will fireworks be used in halloween?
