Well, after too many griffon runs to count, I ended up with 2000 griffon wings and 500 minotaur horns (had more, but sold a lot to other players).

That is 62.5k worth of griff wings and mino horns... and you thought they were worthless (well, they kinda are, but...)

It was at about the 1900th wing that I realized how badly griff farming was as a source of income, but I wanted to finish my collection, so I stuck it through for the final 100.

So... anyone want to buy some of these?

Do people buy these anymore now that the shield was changed to (while hexed)?

I think they're desert griffins, not the ones next to rancor.

Now there's a dedicated griffon farmer if I ever saw one.
Never had more than 250 on me before.
Whenever it hits that, I just sell them to merchant to save space.

Looking for someone who wants to buy griffon wings is like looking for someone who sells bleached shells (a while ago, I don't know about now).
They're there, just damn hard to find 'em.

Merchants take those eagerly. Of course, those same bastards take my black dye stack for 1g each, eagerly.

So, is griffon farming crap now?
Should I stop wasting my time?
Just curious...not trying to flame or troll...

You sell them in stacks.
Takes 10 clicks to sell everything there.

Just curious...not trying to flame or troll... Well, I would say that it is not crap... I have made a lot of money doing it. I even got a +30 hp pommel from griffs. However, I would say that there are better ways to make money (and no, I don't mead UW soloing, as I have been doing that recently and it is not worth it either).

Griffon farming done right (and I know how to do it right ) will take about 5 mins/run plus 3 mins to collect items and sell them. In one run, about 1k to 1.8k of gold+whites+blues+purples drops. About one in fifty runs a weapon with a perfect mod drops (priced between 20k and 60k). So your average profit is approx. 2k per 8 minutes (250g/min). I have found better ways to make money, but griffs are still a good way to kick back and relax in a no-stress environment.

One way to up your profits is by simply taking along someone from augury who wants to level up. Charge them 2k/level and you will get a good amount of extra gold.

Good luck
