Why can't I extract?

I have a collectors Water Staff with a +30 Health Head and +5 Armor. I recently purchased a Fleshcleaver, so I tried to extract eighter of the mods. There I go to use my superior salvage kit, when the game tells me that I can't extract it. Why is that? The staff is customized for me, but I never had that problem before.

u cant salvage collector items or green items. thats how the game is.

Both of the mods were added by me. You can't extract quest rewards, but I recall extracting a +30 mod health mod from a Collector's Fire staff a few weeks ago.

Whether you added the mods or not, you can't salvage collector's items or quest rewards.
As for your fire staff, I think you made a mistake.

As for greens, the only thing you can do is customize it.
