i try not to look at it as 600k for a shield, but rather 600k so that marik DOESNT have the shield.

2 reasons:
A: at the time i posted the 2.5 million bid, i had about 900k million, with 690k coming in from trades, and 1,175k on my 2nd account. 900+690+1175=2,765k. since i know that coolguy's (i know him in game fairly well) b/o is probably in the region of 20 million, i felt it was safe to spend some of that money (atm i could not sustain a 2.5 million bid with whats in my storage, but gimme 2 weeks and ill correct that  ). i had already had an existing 850k bid on jayfungs longsword, then bid on mas' which went down to 750k, and the other expenditures, yadda yadda, see previous post.B: its not difficult for me to come up with cash on short notice; heck, i came up with 90% of the 1 million for the aegis i bought, in a whole 15 minutes. i also posted that i could bid as high as 19 million, if i sold off mostly everything, but i wouldnt do that unless i was assured i'd win the bid. selling off my entire private collection, only to lose the bid, would needless to say, piss me off substancially.
