This is a rockin build for the Competitive Arenas. It's a spammable -6 health/-4 energy degen hex machine that can heal the party moderately.

N/Mo

Wither{E}
Malaise
Parasitic Bond
Faintheartedness
Heal Area
Healing Breeze
Enfeeble
Res Sig

10 Soul Reaping
13 Curses
12 Healing
7 Unused

Wither and Malaise together give 31 seconds of -4 energy degen. Faintheartedness gives 31 seconds of -3 health. Heal area/Parasitic Bond/Heal Breeze keeps you alive very nicely. Sub in any 5 energy cost spell for enfeeble if need be. As it stands now theres no energy problems with this build.

1st... where the hell are all of these attribute points comming from?

2nd... Are you on healing ball teams? Because heal area is nice and all..but there are other spells that are very good at healing too... orison is decent... cost is little...same for dwanya's in the right circumstances. Problem with area is you run the risk of helping the opposition if your not careful.

3rd... restore life may have you needing to be on top of the person your rezing and all...but it is worth it most of the time for the simple fact of them being able to survive after comming back.

other than these points.. the build looks nice...helpful... i would almost suggest going into protection prayers though.. as you can be alot more supportive that way!

The reason this will only work in comp is because it's been known that Wither/Malaise are piece of dirt skills.

Unless people simply weapon switch. [which is what a caster who read this forum will do]. the build has merit.

But when they drop their e. to 0, you've lost your hexes.

"Where the hell are all of these attribute points comming from?"

-12 Healing, 9+3+1 Curses, 9+1 Soul Reaping

"Heal area is nice and all..but there are other spells that are very good at healing too.."

Heal area is mainly for self, it heals for 150 and it works wonders for this N/Mo build. Usually when a warrior is attacking you, its' ok to heal him too becasue he's not the primary target. When he is the target, heal area is not necessary due to Faint/Enfeeble, breeze is sufficient.

"Wither/Malaise are piece of dirt skills"

- They work nicely in this build.

"Unless people simply weapon switch. [which is what a caster who read this forum will do]. the build has merit. But when they drop their e. to 0, you've lost your hexes"

-Do you mean they switch to drop their energy to 0 on purpose? Dropping their E to 0 is the point, I can recast the skills no problem they're cheap.

Heres why it's not a bad setup:
Warriors- Ends their enchantments and shuts down KD/AS and W/Mo Healing Hands/Breeze etc.
Necros and Mesmers- Slows em down/Shuts them out
Monks-They die quicker unless they're using Ether Lord, Mantra of Recall, Offering of Blood, Remove Hex, etc.

Soul Reaping really sucks. Strengthening your attribute setup will help a ton. I'd say something like 11+4 curses, 12 healing, 6+1 soul reaping.

Heal Area is good, so is breeze.

It's solid in CA, so have fun, because CA people don't focus switch.

But outgrow it soon and get into the real game

someone only has to drop every 20s for it to be the equivalent of the old energy drain. unless you really suck at killing things then its actually alright.... the sporadicity of the intake isnt much bother, i always like an extra 10 energy -.-

Let's say I'm using a +10 energy staff, and have both hexes on me with 10 energy left. I would switch to an empty weapon slot, the hexes would drop off, then I'd switch back to my staff and have 10 energy.

My question about the attributes came from the fact that you had all of those attributes in Healing, Soul Reaping, and Curses.. then the 7 unused...(i take it you mean 193/200... no 7 levels.

You need to address your rezzing situation i believe!
