Observer Mode in PVP

When is this coming, does anyone know? I though they were going to add it soonish after new areas got added a while back.

The only official word is, that it will be done before the final round of the tournament.

We will have it for the finals of the World Championship, that's all we know.

last I heard there were having a little trouble with the system for securing other guilds builds... Because otherwise you could just spy on what they are doing and steal their techniques. I'm sure that was part of the reason the guest system was made. to allow for observer privilege settings. The leader can adjust what the guests can see when viewing a match. Thats my interpratation of the stuff I saw of it.

Plus ATM, its causing a wierd bug in the current play for the participating teams testing it. I'm thinking they are going for a more record and watch later method now. but I may be wrong on that. with live events being rare. only for big matches... everything else would be like a black box type recording that you can watch the replay of instead of observing the live instance in this concept. we will see.

"Build security" has been an issue with this concept from day one, but there's too much potential here and I'm glad ANet is still persuing it. You gotta have a way for people to watch big events. Personally I can't wait to watch the finals for the World Championship.

I really dont think anyone should be worried about keeping their build secret. So what if everyone learns what the top guild is using? PvP should be about the skill of the players and the overall teamwork, observer mode only serves to get closer to the goal. Top guilds should not be running just 1 team build, they should have several at their disposal anyway to keep from becoming predicatable.

Yeah getting this implemented for the World Championship final would be good timing. Of course the "Summer" update didn't get released until Autumn, so I'm not holding my breath...
