Pricing Question

Is it just me or does the prices people want for stuff don't make any sense. A lot of times, I guess 50% of the time, when I am looking for a Max damage staff or wand in something, say smiting for example, I can find a pretty good one for under 1k, the other 50% of the time people are wanting like 5k for the same it seems wand or staff. I could see some certain mods (like insightful +3 and up or enchanting 15% and up) on it being worth a lot and I could see a requirement of 7 making it worth more, but these usually have neither. And you can get max damage wands, staffs, etc. from collectors and I have bought max damage even gold items this and that like I was saying for under 1k, so the question is when or what is a good time to pay more than 1k for a max damage staff or wand? Does anybody have any good pricing guidelines? Or is it just all luck finding someone who really wants to sell? Just curious whether the 10k for my staffs people are trying to rip people off or do they really have something thats worth it.

Collector's stuff generally go for 2k (back when I traded a few of them).
I always tell customers that the ones I'm trading are collector's, that why they have perfect stats.

The items that collectors want (wings, carapaces etc.) generally go for 100g each. Exceptions as far as I know are bleached shells, which go for about 1k each.

I'm not very sure about the pricing of staves and other caster weapons and normally don't buy them unless I need it.
I use either greens or collector items.

Yes they are.
But once you apply the mod, you can't salvage it.

Go to the trader forum here.Ventari's Sell - Etc part has a good base line price for mods. When I buy something I base the price from that, the items rarity, and requirement. I then give an offer if I think the price is high. And if I really want it will haggle over the price until we meet a common ground.Thing is some people think what they ask it what they should get, in that case I say no thank you and wait for someone else to sell it. There's an old saying that if you don't have it, you can't miss it. So wait for the deal.
