Well once I have a few in me I get up on the bar and....
Oh. In the game. Um.....farm?
Oh. In the game. Um.....farm?
huh
I buy it off Ebay!!
Yes thats right!
I'm one of those people who have too much money in real-life and too little money in Tyria so I blow it all on in-game gold.
sigh......I wish I had too much money in real-life.
Note for the slow, everything before this line is not true except for the last line before this line.
I kill monsters, and sell whatever garbage they drop to merchants, traders, or other players.
Edit:
Hey when did our little tags come back?

Search the forums for farming strategies. The majority of farming is done by Warriors (usually W/Mo) or smiting monks (usually Mo/W), but not always.
That said, if you're new to the game, you'll want to play through nearly the entire game before farming. Just playing the missions and doing the quests will get you enough money to buy the best AL armor in the game (Droks). It's less efficient to farm at lower level areas, you get more money for your time farming high level areas.

One popular way to earn money is to hang around in any city and spam the chat with "please give me money." If you're lucky you might earn enough after 200 hours of begging to buy a starter wand.
j/k - please don't do that.

...hahahaha...
i bet you've tried that before.
The only way to get money is to farm, find items worth something eg. gold items or pickup everything you find and sell it to the merchant if you've just started.

- Dont buy new armor everytime you have a new opportunity to do so. Like, buying it in Ascalon, buying it in Yaks, buying it in LA, etc.
- Make sure you know what drops salvage in materials you need for armor. Salvage these drops. Either sell the other drops or salvage for materials, which you can sell to materials trader or to other players (dont go standing there all day, but go back to Yaks, LA or whatever place where armor can be crafted once in a while).
- Make sure that if you sell drops to the merchant you identify them before you sell. This way you get a better price. This is only worth the cost of the id-kit with the items you get when you are away from Ascalon (already around Yaks?). Not sure where exactly the break-down-point is.
- Dont buy fiery dragon swords for 5K
- etc (aka read other posts)

-Run from Ascalon to Lions Arch for cash.
-Run to all desert locales for cash.
-Run to Copperhammer, and Ghrotto for cash.
-Kill minotaurs and griffosn outside augury for cash and drops.
-Do the final few missions over and over for cash and drops.

I too had problems getting enough money together until I decided to farm sorrows, maybe 2k per run plus the chance to have a green dropped. The real wage-earner for me was picking up everything i could get my hands on and salvage all the white items and sell everything else. Been doing that a couple of hours a day for a week now and I have 55k in the bank, not much compared to some but a hell of a lot more than I had a weeks ago
