i spent an hour or so collecting me 12 ale. i then seared and drank them when in the PvP battle. the effects took 2 years to clear :P

we lost horribly. 10-1 (i think that i killed their healer hench with my backfire, but its hard to be sure.)
i offered Ale to all the team members. none took up the offer. i was forced to drink it all (oh the humanity!).
you get it from Drunken Bear hunters south of Fort Ranik (easy to recognise, they tend to be playing 'blood, sweat and tears' or poking Benton). talk to Senssa and he will say: 'ah *hic* another challenger!'
a brief conversation will take place (benton here once killed a bear faster than i could drink a shot!) they will say that if you kill a bear in under 3 minutes then they will share their ale with you.
just run away from the bears while on your way to the hunters. there is only 2 in that area that i know of.
the funny thing was that after the battle the effects cleared. then, slowly, started up again.
the cutscenes were perfectly normal.
i can imagine it was strange for the enemy warrior ('i love you man!')

ohhh... make sure you give the guildy enough ale for it to be funny for them too. around about 7 tends to make the game nigh unplayable. or you COULD spend the next 5 months getting 500 ales. then drinking EVERY SINGLE ONE. stomach pumping will ensue...
