Upgrading Green Items

I have Morgriff's Staff (specials are improved casting speed, skill recharge, and two 'armor +5' all in gold) and I want to upgrade it, but the upgrades warn me about overriding the old upgrades.

What, specifically, are the upgrades to this staff?

It's technically a Defensive Accursed Staff of Defense. It would have a Defensive Staff Head and a Staff Wrapping of Defense. But you can't mod green items anyway.

You can't upgrade green items. If you actually try to go through with it, it will say "This item is incompatible with thic component." I tried it with a defensive +5 head on my Galigords Staff.

Boo! So much for a +20 armor staff

never would have worked anyways - you would have replaced the armor with armor.. they have those mods already. 80 base armor for a necro is nice be happy with that

It's for my monk, who is currently using a +14 armor bow.

...how on earth do you get +14 armor on a bow?

You can't anymore, I don't think.

There WAS a ?-25 bow from Denravi that had "Armor +10" on it, standard. Then you add the +4 (or +5) generic armor modification.

It was nerfed to hell along with the +5 energy sword.

Denvari was the hidden pimp place back in the day.
