what does this mean. i just went on a mission and got 3 of them but havent salvaged yet (waiting to get to yaks bend so i can get the expert salvage kits)

Someone told me that purple items are magical. And that gold items are rare. Can anyone confirm this?

Purple just means it's rare (well moderately rare) it goes liek this:

Blue (kinda rare)
Purple (rare)
Yellow (Rarest)

Idendify it to see what bonuses it has

BLUE IS NOT RARE
blue just means an item has an effect/unidentified

if theres "unidentified" in purple in the salvagable item text, identify it and it will tell you what you will get when an advanced salvage kit is used on it.

I recently got a couple of runes this way. Good stuff.
