okay, on the radar/map/thingy in towns, I see 3 different colors, 1 is green (me or an npc), 1 is light blue (players), and I see a dark blue color. I assume they are players cause I never see them talk, they dont serve any purpose and they arent always there. But why are their names different?

Do you mean the difference between dark blue and light blue names for the players? I think that dark blue means they have a party and lgiht blue means they dont have one. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Zim is correct. Dark blue players are in a group, light blue are not.
