Hi,
I got a W/MO20 , and i'm a sort of... "runner" :P
When i try to run the forge, i dont seem how to make it.
I look at all the other runners, and they use same strategy as me.. Well i think =) So far as i have ever get in a forge run is somewhere around the Cave where all the Mountaintroll's is :<
My setup is!
Marhans Grotto Gladiator outfit, without the helmet.. Wich is ascalon helmet!
I use these runes: Major absorb , Major vigor , Minor strength & Minor tactics.
The skills im using is,
Spring
Charge [E]
Balanced stance
Endure pain
Smite hex
Purge condition
Mending
Healing signet
My attributes is,
Healing: 10
Strength 11
Tactics 12
-----------------------------------
That's all, PLEASE give me some hints , tell me if the setup is wrong in some ways and so on.. All help appreciated Thanks
/Viggen
My Forge runs!
viggen
anubishealer
i would drop healing to 8 since u have 3 regen at 8-10 so u can just throw the attributes somewhere else more usefull

I would personally replace Smite Hex with Holy Veil. That way you can cast it when you zone and cut it off as soon as you're hit by the second Mind Freeze.

The troll cave can be tough from what I gather, but you can pull the trolls out of there, in a loop around the cliff-bluff thing, freeing up the entryway for a quick run through. Assuming it's the long thin cave in Snake Dance that is...
Former Ruling
The runner that got my character to Droknar's last week used Balt.'s Spirit instead of Mending...Said the energy/adren worked better than the helath regen after the Siege Ice Golems were added. He stopped in specific spots to healing sig when needed.
Some equipment as you, sword was some fellblade, and shield was the "while enchanted" crimson carapace sheild.
Runes looked about the same form what he told us (He said Superiors were wastes of money). He had 475 Health (I know this cause he commented that most people think you need 500+ and thats false).
He basically said 99% of the run is KNOWING THE RUN - and not really your skill or attributes.
He made it through almost smoothly as all possible, even with bad spawns around the Dread zone area. He just aggro'ed exactly what he had to, put on running abilities exactly when they were appropaite, only stanced exactly when he needed, and all that. The only real difficulty you could see watching him is he would peroidically have to slow down into protected corners and healing sig - but it was all planned out. He had to remove a hex ONCE if I remember right.
As for the troll part i the thin tunnel, He aggroed them, and made them chase him backwards (out the front of the tunnel), then just charged right thorugh the middle of them.
(Hope I made some sense, all the people being run with me were asknig him questions and such, and I was watching him).

No offense to former ruling, but I disagree with about 80% of what he said
If that runner made it, he got a good spawn, I don't know what the dread zone area is, so I have no idea what to think of that.
The reason I know the runner got a good spawn, is because he had to remove hex once. There are many times that golems and imps spawn in terrible places where they are unavoidable, and you must charge through.
As for trolls, i have done maybe like 6-10 droks runs, died a few times, made most. Trolls, are the least of my worries, just run through and maneuver correctly. You occasionally might have to go backwards, but it's not hard at all. I have died there once, partially because of lag/rushing through the run. On the second smaller cave, I have never died there. I just run right through with holy veil on me, becase there might be an ice golem at the end.

I posted my build for all to see and comment on. Another person posted with heal area instead of sig, but I have energy management issues with that.
And as for balt's on the above post... why? If you run right, you shouldn't need it because you avoid trouble. Stopping and casting spells to heal is the last thing I want to do when running. I'm almost certain that that person had no way out of geting crippled, because of all his other skills.
Oh yeah and btw, 99% of the run is knowing it? Please, if 99% is knowing it, why can't my elementalist run it? I know the run!
