In A Box.

W/R

I would take all those skills for healing and put in either Str, Tactics, or your Axe Mastery. Since there will be a Monk to heal you, but you can also put it into your Proection skills so you can protect you more against monsters with Armor of Frost or Mist. Take out Gladiators Defense becase you're not gonna get attacked by a mob. Put in Eviscerate or Obsedian of Flesh instead, make your Axe Mastery up to 16 so you can hit max damage. What I use is for my W/R:

Flurry
Antidote Sig or TU (I know, Warriors aren't suppose to heal, but there aren't many great skills for W/R beside Tiger's Fury. Though, I like Flurry alot more)
Res Sig
Swift Chop
Axe Twist
Disrupting Chop
Executioner's Strike
Eviscerate

You can switch my TU or Anti for your Armor of Mist or Frost. Instead of Eviscerate, you can use Obsedian of Flesh as your elite and put in Dismember for Eviscerate. ALSO, you MUST have your main mastery at 16 if you want to do mad spike damage with Exe + Evis.

Since I'm talking to you at school and you don't know what you're wearing because you gotta play the game to know, I'll tell you the set that I use.

Gladiator's Helm of Axe Mastery +1
Knight's Cariuss of Superior Absorption
Gladiator's Leg of Superior Axe Masterty +3
Gladiator's Gauntlet of Minor Strength
Platemail Boots of Superior Vigor

You can have Gladiator Boots of Superior Vigor, but it doesn't really matter.

@demonstar
the build is decent. you're trying to be both offensive and defensive at the same time, but i would suggest focusing on one or the other.

there was an in depth discussion on fow tank builds before in this thread:
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=70590

you might want to check it out to see some insights from other experienced fow tanks.

with regards to your build, i would drop mending and healing breeze. leave the healing to the monks. you can put the points from healing somewhere else now. good skills to add are "watch yourself" and dolyak signet. i'm not a big fan of the tank bringing a res, but if you really want to, drop res signet and replace it with rebirth. ressing out of harm's way is important in fow. i would also drop your two axe attacks and add one more stance (maybe defensive or disciplined) and cyclone axe.

the point of a fissure tank is to tank damage, so attack skills take up space on the skill bar that can be used for more useful things.

lastly, never use a major rune. ever.

@axel
although axe spikers are good, it's generally not a good thing for fow. although, it will help you take enemies down faster, you won't do so well holding your own against things like the dragon lich, abyssals, and berserkers. if you do go into fow as a primary damage dealer, be sure to let the other warrior do the tanking.

also, i'm not so sure how wise it is to use a superior mastery rune for pve. 75 hp is a big chunk and will lessen your ability to tank.

Strider your link to me to the Etc forum with all the price checks and stuff.

I'm also looking to use a good build for FoW cuz I need money like a mudda sucka, so I may try the stances and such. Thx.

Agreed, more stances and less dmg skills, why? carry the book and let others do the work.
PM me for details.

PM me for details. Good, and develop a style of play that has limited uses and in no way will increase the skill of your group. I don't wait hours on end every day to get the favor and sit around holding a book because the other players don't want to learn how to properly let a warrior aggro.

using the book "trick" is just a cheap way to go through the fissure. players who use it learn nothing.

you'll find that good teams can win battles in fow easily without using the book. this is because they've learned to do it through experience.

If you want to tactics pve, I'd definitely recommend sword. Ripostes got buffed and although it may seem like nothing, it should be no problem to build up adrenaline to outright SPAM riposte crazy style... W/Mo does a better job preventing damage rather than healing since he has no divine favor, PROTECTION is the way to go...

10+1+1 Swordsmanship
7+1 Strength [no need to sprint so why bother? Dolyak Signet it is...]
9+1 Tactics
10 Protection Prayers

Since we're sword, we can use the best defensive stances available.

Riposte
Deadly Riposte
Bonetti's Defense
Gladiator's Defense {E}
Shield Stance
Dolyak Signet
Watch Yourself!
Protective Spirit

Stances + Shout + Dolyak Signet + Prot. Spirit = a LOT of defensive capabilities... Technically, if you charge in solo or with a warrior teammate, you should be able to run your superior defensive capabilities in such a way that you can get mobbed beyond belief and wait a few precious moments for the entire enemy mob to just envelop you [you'll live cause your smart stacking your defenses]

No warrior in pve should be able to go down with the right defensive mix and your squishies [who are smart and let you charge far out ahead] will move in to heal you as well as to lend fire-bomb support. Glad's Defense and your Ripostes overlap quite well to reflect damage so you can use that to your advantage... Work with a W/N using Mark of Pain and the whole mob will die 3x. faster.
