What makes a Weapon Perfect
DemonFromHell
I always see people selling bows and other weapons and saying they are perfect, what makes those weapons so perfect? Also is there a weapon out there to be called the best one in the game if so please let me know I am really interested in finding the best weapon of all.

Well for starters - there is no "best weapon of all" as it's a matter of perspective and build - i.e. a Hammer warrior won't be looking for that Mx Dmg sword, with perm +15% dmg, +30 health mods etc.
I believe that when ppl describe a weapon or item as perfect, they're referring to the mods it has - +30health, +15% dmg perm, 5/1 Vampiric etc.

Thank you for helping me understand the weapons.

There are three things to look at on a weapon. The damage, the inherent bonuses, and the mods it currently has. A "perfect" weapon would presumably have the highest damage range for its type (15-22 for a sword, 6-28 for an axe, etc.), the highest level of inherent bonus (e.g., +15% damage when over 50% health), and the highest level of whatever mods it has. (e.g., 3/1 or 5/1 vampiric and +30 health).
Which types of inherent bonuses and mods are the best is subject to debate, but there is a maximum quality for each of those types.

the perfect weapon is one that fits your current build and youre use of it in that build. It doesnt have to have perfect stats or be the lowest req possible. as long as your character can make good sue of it and it fits your needs, have fun

So I have a short bow. +15% damage while health>50%, sundering 9/10, marksmanship +1 12%, max damage, req 9 marks.
You'd think this would be a near perfect bow, worth a ton right? Blah. People poo on collector's items as if they were used by lepers.
But, i guess what it comes down to is that in the end, i'll be out damaging that kid with the shitty storm bow with my cheapie collector's bow.

That reminds me. Does anyone else think that the mod for raising a skill by 1 w/ a % chance is the crappiest mod in the world? Or maybe it is just me?

No way, collectors weapons are awesome ^^
Storm bows look pretty, but i think they fire too slow imo (although i have one )
I think a "perfect weapon" has to fit the following:
1) Max damage
2) Low requirements
3) some sort of damage modification that doesnt hurt (15%^50 ideally or 15 while in stance or enchanted)
4) maximum % in mods
5) fits the build perfectly
i think the "pretty" or "rare" factor should be looked at as the last thing when it comes to choosing weapons, but in the real world, people want pretty and rare things >.>;;
With that being said, i think +1 attribute % mods are not as useful as say defense or fortitude mods.

For warriors/ranger, probably less useful.
carnivore
for warriors and rangers? i agree, dumbest mod ever. +5 defense, +30 health, and +20% enchant are much more useful
anyway i believe perfect does come with mods first. damage mod and req are probably sought after more than the actuall add on mods, because those cant be changed. I myself, use +stance mods on my damage bows, because i do the majority of my damage while in a stance a anyway
