WTB: 16/-2/+45 shields

Very nice stone summit shield, though I'm only looking for perfect stats now.

I have an ornate buckler, +45 hp while enchanted, quick recovery from cripple, req 8. Tell me if ya want it or not.

I'm gonna pass on the bucklers, sorry for the trouble Yun. I should've looked into that type of shield more closely before adding it to this line-up.

I would be VERY surprised if you sourced any of those shields in 16/45/-2 form. The stone summit that taf posted, is probably the closest to perfect that has every dropped anywhere (trust me I have looked long and hard for any +hp -dmg SSS, they are VERY rare with a decent requirement), and any Tall Shield to those specs LBS would be sure to put you up for the auction of you're life (not to mention other very high profile merchants).

The middle shield posted...I don't see these drop often at all...and I imagine a perfect one of these would sell for a ton as well just due to the inherent rarity of the shield (ugly as all hell IMO, but hey whatever, lol).

Stating that a require 7 is a must basically brings your search for these shields to the edge of near-impossiblity.

Not to offend or bring you dismay, as I can actually feel for you in your search for the perfect shield. But you may turn out to be looking for an extremely long time, only to be massively outbid when (if) one arises.

Although I'm sure you may be aware of some of these points I stated.

Hey man, no problem. I already have a 16/-2/+45 with a 7 req, and just today had to pass up another one (the buckler above). I'm mostly interested in the stone summit shields. I know they're rare with those reqs, but I also know they're out there.

BTW, I've been looking for a shield such as this since the game came out pretty much. So, yeah, finding one is near impossible. But I'm pretty sure I'll be able to buy it if one does come up eventually. Particularly now that Malinon shields came out and took most bidders out of the picture.

I agree about Malinon's taking alot of buyers out of the picture. But it's the collectors you should worry about. Or just the die hard "must have this" fans of the certain item type.

You can -probably- count me out as a bidder if a Stone Summit 45/-2/16 shows up. My buddy Rau actually bought that SSS from Taf for me (should have it tomorrow when they exchange, auction just ended). What a good guy, letting me pay him back after I get my ranger FoW armor. But yeah, I settled for that one because if it WAS perfect, I'm very sure I couldn't afford it in the first place, and besides, I don't need every little HP that comes with perfect (although nice) - I would have settled for anything over 35 probably. And like I said, I haven't seen a 45/-2 of any req. for a SSS yet (I have been in contact with other merchants as well that have said the same thing). Actually...coolyguy -might- have one but it was req 10 or something...

I see you have good taste though, looking for a Summit Shield.

Curious: What 45/-2/16/7 shield do you have? And mind if I ask what you payed on it (IG or forums?)? Reason being I just don't see many of those around (super rare, of course, for any req.) and I'd like some sort of price range to look for if I'm ever interested in one.

Well the one I have is your basic round shield, which is a "meh" in terms of looks but perfect stat-wise (makes for an interesting 7 tactics build). That cost me 400K about a week ago. The one I saw today was an ornate buckler of same stats, and that was 600k. I passed because it's basically the same shield only darker, and I didn't quite dig the texture.

If a SSS like that came along, I would definitely go all the way to try to obtain it. The worst thing that could happen is if a req 8 or 9 SSS came out. That would really suck. It would be torture not to bid on it, but if you bid and win there'd still be room left for improvement and you couldn't do the 7 tactics builds.

Sigh. I hope if a perfect SSS appears it will be a 7.

Just a little update this year. This topic's offer is still valid. I now have both round and ornate bucklers with these stats so they're off the list. Still particularly interested in finding a crude shield with those stats (see first picture).

the problem with that is, is that that one missing piece of ar could hypothetically be more damage than that -2 is, especially later in the game.
