I have yet to have over 250g, how do you guys make your money?

Progress in the story. You will get more and more money.

Do the missions and head for the mountains... Best gold is around the mine in the mountains. of course you have to be pretty strong in there to survive. but there is plenty of gold to be found. just going through the missions and mine to get to lions arch I had amassed near 6 platnum More then enough for Guild needs and armors... Hard part... is finding skilss... cause I guess they wanted a way to force everyone to do the silly quests... instead of exploring the maps right away... I sure do miss the good skill crafters from the betas, as well and the chramer that made the amulets and such... OH well...

Before Yaks bend I was sitting on around 200-300, but the money is starting to come more now, more items with higher values etc.

Don't forget that the henchmen take their share of the loot. If you want to gain money then find the best place to kill quite fast with a very low number of henchmen.
