I give up. After running around what I believe to be all of King's Watch, I haven't found a single Charr.
The quest wants me to search King's Watch for every charr, but as evidenced by this image, http://www.pixelguerilla.org/andreas/gw_marathon.jpg , I have searched and searched. I can't stand running around in Regent Valley anymore for some time, so if anyone could tell me where exactly they're located, it'd please me and my sanity very much. Or have I missed something?

If I remember correctly, you only need to walk into every waypoint (the green markers) in order to complete it.

I did complete this quest so unless you may have missed them in a sneaky hidden place. A small group of 4 charrs hidden up the hill (didn't notice them at first when using CTRL). Didn't you have a green arrow to help you spot them? If I recall correctly, mine lead me right to their place.

I think it is bugged. I have two possible explanations why.
What happened to me when I went there is, I also had to search for Little Thom's Corpse, which I did locate on a hill overlooking King's Watch. I went to Fort Ranik, stepped outside and got the quest to search King's Watch, however I never got the green arrow pointing me in the direction to go. I FULLY explored the zone and based on other's comments, I also touched every possible sign, statue, and marker. Nothing worked. I map traveled back to Fort Ranik to see if I just had to talk to the guy since I DID explore King's Watch. No go. I went back out to try all over again, and lo and behold, the green arrow was pointing me where to go. When I arrived at King's Watch, I noticed there was a group of Charr on the very same hill that Little Thom's corpse was. Of course, once the Charr were killed, the quest updated.
So, I suspect there is either a conflict between these two quests that prevent the Charr from spawning with Little Thom's Corpse in place, OR, it's just bugged and you have to exit and re-enter the zone to spawn the Charr.

Ah. Well, I did the Thom's dead body quest a little while before this one, so I don't think they should have conflicted. However, I did that other quest where you retrieve the equipment for Arne in the same area right before Regent Valley Defense. I didn't go back to Ascalon for my reward inbetween, so perhaps those two conflicted instead.
