When your Auction is Over: (Added: 9 Sept.)

* Please PM a Moderator to Close your auction when it is complete/ended. According to rules we should do this, but i have just 1 suggestion..
this method can flood u mods Inbox, instead use the "Report Bad Post" tool
this can save time n effort for u guys.

you can either create new function or hack like that or just ask members to report there.

hehe just takin lil load off from u guys

Report Bad Posts also floods our inboxes, so it's no big change

I think we could...but then we wouldn't get a notice at all, which may or may not solve our problem. I for one could do without a few reports

Alternately (and I'm no vbulletin expert), can't you just set the sell forum to automatically close threads that are more than two weeks (or any other time length) old?

Any items not sold by the time the auction auto-closes can be re-posted by the OP...or people could request extensions to their auctions from one of the mods.

This would help lighten the amount of work mods have to do closing expired sell threads, and it would certainly reduce the number of threads being dredged up from months ago because somebody didn't look at the last post date before placing a bid...

In fairness the vast majority of threads in the SELL forum simply die a death without any real need to be officially closed. Mainly due to the fact that the vast majority of users will only browse throught the first 10 pages or so.

If you do want a thread closed and you send a mod a pm - plz plz plz include a link so we can just click it and then close it. As doing a search for threads created by user etc etc really adds extra time to what should be a very quick and painless job.
