flickering only in full screen mode?

Hi, I have a nvidia geforce 6800....Guild wars always worked like a charm...in fact, everything worked like a charm....and now not only guild wars, but also my n64 emulator, has a 'flicker' to the screen most of the time, it almost even seems like my graphics card is loose (i use a laptop)....but when its windowed, everything is fine! what gives?

Sounds like it could be your refresh rate being forced lower when you run Guild Wars. Try raising the refresh rate in the options and if this doesn't fix the flickering, download ReForce http://www.pagehosting.co.uk/rf/download.html. This forces the monitor to a certain refresh rate all the time so that program settings have no effect.

thanks for that, i think i know what's causing the problem. i restarted my computer, and that, and my project 64 emulator both work fine....then i run my super nintendo emulator (zsnes)...turn that off, and nothing else works in full screen after that until i do a restart...i guess that must be forcing my refresh rate down for everything, is there a way to get it to not do that?

Yep, the program i mentioned in my last post, ReForce, can do that.
