i realized that balthazar's aura was a enchantment, not just a spell.. so i decided to build a character using that...

blessed aura + enchanting mod + balths aura = 16 second balths for 400 dmg

not so great on its own, but then i tossed in some traps... so it looks lie this:

Mo/R

smiting 10+1+3=14
divine 11+1=12
wilderness=10

blessed aura - enchants last longer
balthazars - damage
shield of judgement - nice buff, provides some cover while trapping

serpants quickness - cast before shield and balths
traps - usually flame and barbed, cheap and effective

2 slots left - usualy signet of devotion and smite hex, or another trap and blessed signet

must use enchant modded weapon, i used a 20/20 smiting staff with +5 insightful and 20% enchant

the combination of serpants and blessed arua make both balths and shield of judge much more effective, cuts down their long recast times and makes them last longer.

so pretty much put up blessed and serpants, throw of shield and balths, go near people and trap. simple really. just stay near people always to make you long blaths take effect.

strengths: innovative, people suck against shield of judge, balths ignores armor, might work in tombs with organized team

weaknesses: enchant removal and you're doomed, monk primary means you're going down fast

tried it in random arenas. whooped people with no mesmers, a domination shutdown took me to school though

hit me up if you like it, please critique

peace

Aura is 25.
Blessed Aura gives - 1 energy regen
Shield if 15 energy
Traps are at least 10

You'll be out of energy quite quickly and especially with Serpent's Quickness, you're skills will be ready but you won't have energy. Since you'll most likely be a target, Balthazar's Spirit would be nice and switching out Shield of Judgement for Melandru's Resilience might help a little more (but no Serpent's then).
