What is fur used for?

Wondering if I should sell or hold to use later? I'm a monk if that matters.

OMG!!!! hold onto that man, thoughs are so hard to find, i needed 3 for new body armor and it took me days to get it, i bought 2 from some guy for like 150 which i hear is a good price. so hang onto that for sure.

oh, and its used to buy certain peices of armor.

Yeah, I know they are for some types of armor, but dont know if Monk armor is included in that.
