I have both.

I am looking for opinions on which one is more worthwhile.

Lifesteal is great.

Life regeneration is great also.

Which one works more effectively?

feedback appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Health regeneration gives 2hp every second. A sword/axe warrior can make an attack every 1.25 second. So take the healing value from Live Vicariously (11 for max healing), divide by 1.25 and you'll get your HPS (healing per second).

Generally speaking, LV tends to heal slightly more while in combat, but in my opinion, mending is better in the long run. You keep regenerating while running from one foe to the next, while using spells, and even when you're blind or knocked out or slowed, or simply when you"re waiting for the next group of enemy to get to you.

Note that neither spell is really exciting, especially when you have a good monk in the group. Saving your energy pip for extra damage might be a better idea.

Thanks Frog,

Thats the best answer I've gotten yet on these forums.

Sorry about the location of the post, i'm still learning.

PvE W/Mo sword/str/heal

Anyway, I went healing for my secondary Monk, so what for example would be a good substitute for mend or live vic, since i only have one pip to play with?

Thanks again

You're probably low level like my own W/Mo so you don't have much choice anyway. I'm using mending when I'm soloing (without henchmen) or playing in bad groups, and I always have shielding hands (I'm putting spare points into protection) and most importantly Healing Breeze. Not awesome, but usually enough to be the last man standing in low level PvE. Don't use one-shot healing spells such as Orison. The lack of energy + Divine Favor makes this type of healing a lot less efficient (as opposed to long term enchantments). Your best emergency button for melee is probably Healing Hands, but you'll have to capture it (check out other threads for more details). I also like Vigorous Healing for light healing (like LV, but without the energy pip, and decently usable on allies to help your primary healer).

When I play with a good healer, I usually don't have to heal myself so mending is off and I use offensive skills instead.

at level 20 as a warrior monk with 12 in swordsmanship, 9 in strength, and 12 in healing prayers, i havent put a rune of vigor in yet, im looking for major or superior and ill be at 574 or 584 health, my skill set is: berserker stance, savage slash, final thrust, sprint, healing breeze, healing hands, mending, and restore life, 29 base energy and i keep a healing ankh in my secondary weapon set to change to if i need to use healing breeze and i only have like 2 energy, the ankh gives me about +9 energy, it says +11, but my shield does +2 so when i get rid of that i move back down to 27 plus 11 gives me 38
