Why Elite status?

Comparisons
A) Penetrating Blow vs Cleave
The only difference is 1 adrenaline and
-Cleave has slightly more damage
-Penetrating Blow has armor penetration
Is 1 strike of adrenaline really that good to merit elite status?

B) Eviscerate vs Cleave
For those who have not read the article by ensign, I suggest you do
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=49874

Eviscerate
-Built In Dismember (7 adrenaline)
-More damage then cleave
Lets do some math. Since Cleave costs 4 adrenaline, we'll subtract that from the 7 that Eviscerate costs.
Then what are we left w/? 3 adrenaline for the equivalent of dismember and the original 4 going for more damage then cleave.
To do the same thing w/ cleave, you would need 4 + 7 Adrenline and 2 skill slots to do less damage for the same conditions

Purpose of cleave?
I call for an another buff to the damage.

Each adreneline based skill costs 1 adrenaline from everything, so by Cleaving you lose an adrenaline point from all your other skills, meaning you have to hit another time to use other skills. I think Cleave should be a quicker attack, as in RIGHT AWAY type of hit like disrupting chop/blow. I don't ever find myself using Cleave now.

When you put Penetrating Blow vs Cleave - the + damage from Cleave is better than penetrating blow's armor penetration imo, and it can be spammed more than Cleave.

But yeah, I say Cleave is an instant hit, not affected by Faintheartedness, Shadow of Fear, etc.

Actually, I believe you lose the one adrenaline when you click the icon "Cleave", but get it back once your attack hits. Net Gain = 0, but you don't have to have an "extra" hit to get back what you lost w/ cleave
