Mad King Footage

They come in 2 flavours, 300mb almost full quality version, and 150mb version for those that don't care much for quality, but still very readable. I used filefront as I don't know any other places to put it. If you fancy mirroring, PM me with the URL.

Word about sound. I started recording in windowed mode which isn't a proper 1024x768 so it will look smaller at first, this also weirded out the sound. I didn't know if he's show up again so I kept the old files, but as they took up so much room I had to delete them again when I started the new recording. Needed to do this in explorer and most people know guild wars stops playing music when out of focus. Then I had to switch to fullscreen. This buggered up the sound for the next block, delaying the audio by about 5 seconds, I adjusted this in premiere, but the end of the block had no sound, so I faded out and faded in the audio for the next block about 8-9 minutes in. Apologies.

I also captured him on video using fraps...but in the midst of the event i got lagged out! I could continue the event but my fraps stopped working so i only got 3/4 of the event.

I'll wait and see if he re-appears, I'm sitting on my own in a certain district so yeah. Hope I get full footage this time. I don't appear to be getting lag errors, but once all the n00bs show up to swear at the king etc show up, my fps goes down.

Got him in full with a small group which was nice. 17.7Gb of uncompressed footage, so who wants an encode?

Use virtualdub and use divx codecs, afterwards you can also try to put it in a flashfile (1/5 of the size).

lol i also frapped the whole thing. Only 2.8gig of uncompressed footage here, but I intend to compress it.

Sequencing it now, then I'll composite it, do a test encode, and when I'm happy with size and readability, it'll be an overnight full encode.

I seen people that got killed by Mad King even when they type in the right emotes.

do you know why the king isnt coming back to lions arch?

i mean all the decorations are there the guys there are screaming out he will come but hes not coming anymore i waited the whole day yesterday

Finished, took ages to get an Frameserver working with premiere to virtualdub/avisynth, but the result is superb, 30 minutes clear video in 300mb. I just need somewhere to upload it now =P

Sometimes the NPC found it hard to track every player in the specified area. Some players wouldn't get rewards or it got things wrong with certain people. They obviously didn't have much time to test it with a large crowd. So be glad they still put it up.
