Ascension Questions

**SPOILERS**

yes i read every single thread here with the word 'ascension' in the title, but i have unanswered questions still:

1. Is ascension the last mission? I just made d'allessio seaboard this morning and according to the map i have, it looks like i have about 5 more missions to do...are the 3 quests for ascension part of a mission or are they independent of missions?
2. What level can you attempt ascension? I read a post by one person that ascended at lvl 18, thus skipping 19, and was wondering if there was a level requirement to obtain the quest or enter the mission. http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ight=ascension
   lets say i missed a quest or mission for some skills or skill points that i want to get...could i go back and do those after ascension?
3. is ascension something that cuts us off from earlier quests? lets say i missed a quest or mission for some skills or skill points that i want to get...could i go back and do those after ascension? I saw another post by someone complaining about missing a quest/mission for a skill point in post searing ascalon (not pre-searing) and by the way he sounded i got the impression he felt he couln't go back and get it.
4. where is Augury Rock? i have read people say 'ascension is what happens when you get to augury rock', but where the hell is that? i don't see it on any of the maps i have.

augury rock is the center point for all the mission places.... good luck getting there, and especialy in beating teh missions

Hmm.. now I'm confused... I was under the impression that 'Ascension' was simply a title for a level 20 character that bestowed no other game effect...

Nope, its part of the main quest. to get too the hall of heroes.

it's really hard... there are 3 quests, each are 2 zones away from augury rock, and are very hard to get to, not to mention very hard to beat... recommended levels is 18-20 but there are quite a few lvl 17's beating 'em... although i wish I had been in my friends party... cuz he had a retarted party yet they beat one of the missions there I had tried around 15 times, and STILL havent beaten!
oh and its located in the desert (lower right corner of ur map)

does ascenscion cut you off from earlier quests then?

well i guess not enough people have reached ascension to see this thread and toss us a few scraps of information...ie /bump

As far as I can tell it hasn't cut me off from previous quests. I'm almost positive it doesn't cut you off from quests, but I don't have any missions I haven't done before it to be able to tell. I would have to assume it wouldn't tho.

If it wasn't for this job I have...

1) No, there are missions afterward. I just looked at my map, and 5 more missions is correct. The 3 quests are missions in and of themselves.
2) Whenever you get there, but you won't beat them with a party under lvl 18. I started trying the missions when I was 17, and on the first mission I did I got a half a level just from mob exp because we had to attempt it so many times.
3) Doesn't cut you off from anything.
4) Roughly due east from the Amnoon Oasis, which you get to via mission. You should be able to find a group in Amnoon to get you there.

i found an updated map, which is why i could locate augury rock...i now see it's an unconnected zone far south of ascalon city.

so i'll just keep going through missions until i get to amnoon.

i'm almost level 15, but it's my obligation to try the quests as soon as i get to 17...if i feel pathetic, i'll give up until i level...i'm also running on yak's bend 30+ monk armor which i would like to upgrade before the ascension quests.

the reason why i'm being so nosy regarding ascension is that my wife and daughter will be gone for a few days this weekend, and i'mna get a pile of beer, and play my ass off. I just wanted to have the info so i would stay on track instead of doing my usual, which is floundering aimless.

well i encountered a bug and hope yall dont aswell. I did the 3 missions and went to try to ascend, but it keeps telling me to do one over (elona) and ive done it multiple times now and i still get the same message and cant ascent
