Trying to cap quickshot, no luck

Ive been trying to cap quickshot for the past few days. I have patroled the island 5 times with no signs of either the ranger, or elemental boss that are supposed to patrol the island. I have maps and such of the route they travel, but nothing....

My question is, have they been removed?

Ive heard from different people that one of them always spawns. Can anyone confirm this? I have yet to see either. I have even waited near the begginning (A place that they are suposed to patrol though), but neither has ever came by.

In the past one of them has always spawned for me. It took about 5 or 6 times before I got the one I needed, but that's the way it goes. If you can't find either while going clockwise on their route they may be misplaced.

Just a note: I usually got Maxine, even though I was trying to cap Obsidian Flesh You can kind of tell if Maxine's there if you see Spirits on the path, as she tends to leave a trail of them.

It takes far longer for the boss to come to you than for you to come to it.

If you fight to the boss with the path I went in red (It ends right where you should find her), you should have no trouble getting to her. If you happen to miss her though, quickly run back and take the blue path I dotted in.

i can understand your frustration, when i want to cap obsidian flesh, the ranger boss would keep spawning, and vice versa when i want to cap quickshot, the ele boss would keep spawning !! arrgh *tears hair outta head*

Not trying to sound like a show-off or anything, I actually got it my first try after the helpful information I received here.

Also there is something I would like to point out to future adventurers that magically find their way to this thread. On Zenny's map where the green circle is (where he found the boss), that is where the two bosses spawn. Ive found that they dont even start their patrolling route until you have seen them. I ended up having to run back around the island on Zenny's blue path because I failed to aggro Maxine the first time I saw her.

So a little advice: when you first see the boss run right up and aggro it as soon as possible(even if theres another enemy group to be dealt with). That way you will avoid having to run back around the island to catch his/her return path.
