Pet control

It would be nice to have some more options to control pet behaviour...currently pets attack what you attack or what attacks you, and do nothing the rest of the time. This means that if you're not constantly attacking, for example because you're casting a spell (like healing or buff), your pet stops attacking when it's target is dead on does nothing until you have the time to spare to attack another target. Which is a pain for monks who have to divert their attention from party health to select a new target for their pet.

There are some possibilities that would be very useful. Binding a key to command your pet to attack the closest target or to attack the same targets as a selected party member would be useful, along with another key to command your pet to break off it's attacks and return to you.

Alternatively, there could be a pet aggressiveness option that you could select that would make the pet attack every enemy in a small radius around it automatically.

Either one of these options would be a tremendous help to all the (half-)beastmasters.

yeah... there are already tons of threads on this...

but anyways... i agree... it's annoying as hell to have to be attacking ur target in order for ur pet to attack it... they should really add more options for control and improve the overall AI of pets...

Since the Charm Animal skill is already taking up a slot in the skill bar, why not make it so using that skill when you already have a pet orders your pet to attack whoever you're targetting, and keep on them until that target dies or you give another order?

Or there could be a separate keybind for that. But it seems more elegant to use what's already there.
