Once upon a time..

Hello boys and girls!

In order to keep our trade forums in tip top shape, please read the Official Guild Wars Guru Trade Forum Guidelines BEFORE posting. A few things have been updated, so old and new traders alike should be thoroughly aware of the content of the guidelines.

Violators will be shot!

Well, perhaps not shot. Violators will, however, be subject to strict and heavy moderation, and frequent violators will be banned.

As always, enjoy your stay in Guild Wars Guru, and please feel free to direct any questions to me through PMs or to the other trade moderators listed at the bottom of the forum.

Thank you,

Aria (Administrator)

Please don't do things such as the following:

1) Say a thread is closed.
2) Post in pointless threads that you know should be closed.
3) Make posts in ad spam threads.
4) Tell other people off.
5) Post "use the search button" without a link to the respective thread, or some sort of useful advice. If you didn't feel like doing it either, then you have nothing productive to say.
6) Tell other people they spell badly publicly. If it gets really bad, PM a mod or the poster about it. There are many people for whom English is not their native language.
7) Really, really dumb posts like the classic, "in before lock" will result in a user note about spam.

Ads are annoying, but flames are NEVER allowed, and it serves no purpose to BUMP the ad thread by posting in it!!! Report it with the report post button and it will be dealt with. That is all.

EDIT: Changed number 2 and 5 to be clearer.
EDIT: Added 6.

We take reported posts very seriously. If you report a post you can rest assured that it will be looked at by a moderator, as soon as one of us gets online. If I'm online I will see/check any reported post minutes after the report is made.

I understand that many people assume the reported posts just get filed in some dust bin, but we do see every one that comes in. We rely on it, and can deal with threads much faster if they ARE reported. Sometimes we may not browse through and see that a thread needs closing, which is the exact reason that the report post option is there.
