Death by Ooga Booga
Before I buy Dells bad ars Widescreen. Does GW have a widescreen setting? Or will I have to stretch it out? I have seen WOW on the Dell widescreen and it looks great. Thank you in advance!

Hey thanks Ange1! But if I stretch the screen out would my char. look all Short and Fat? lol BTW is 1360 x 768 a widescreen setting? Sorry if I sound like a Noob! Never owned a widescreen before.
Ironsword
yeah if you stretch your screen it will become distorted but I'm using a widescreen laptop with the resolution set on 1280x768

the answer is yes. I use the Dell 20" wide screen, and the resolution option inside GW has 1680 x 1050 for me to choose from. Funny thing is my window desktop doesn't offer this resolution to me.
ange1
mine don't get distorted, my char is still the same proportion.

Yes, it worked Widescreen just fine, I'm using a 24" wide. It even envelopes you more into the gameplay, IMHO =)
well there ya go

Most of them you listed are 16:10
Widescreen as i have it is 1280 * 720
heres a guide.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Display_resolution
true widescreen's 16:9 are
1280×720
1920×1080
Oh and if you want; there is a program iv been hearing about called "powerstrip" to make your own resolution... so if your drivers dont support the true widescreen resolution's; Iv read/heard you can make your own...
16:10 is widespec; not true widescreen.

*sigh* geez.
I shoulda known someone was gonna get technical on the issue.
Of course you're right. LCD screens for PCs and laptops are 16:10, I know. It's quite evident when you view a DVD movie in 16:9 on your computer and see some letterboxing on the screen.

GW has native widescreen support, so no hassles.
Although for most of the games that do not, theres usually some simple hack/workaround to force it into a widescreen resolution (see widescreengamingforum.com).
