Thats right! Storing gold is one thing....how about a bank of some sort?

You can borrow money, you can pawn some expensive item, you can get interest on your savings. Things of that nature. Maybe put that expensive armor on lay away. XD

but what happens if you don't have money to pay back =D

They repo your stuff until they get thier money back?



I don't think you should be able to borrow, but with the dynamic economy, haveing the ability to deposit money in the bank and gain intrest, as well as store valuables in purchaseable storage would be pretty nice.

I was thinking along the lines of insurance and pensions.

Well how about this. After let's say a week has passed since you borrowed money, every single point of gold you get goes directly to the bank until you pay it back?

This would only put more money into the economy, that's not exactly a good thing for a game already battling inflation.

How about futures options on commodity items?
Managed funds?
Junk bonds?
