Minions and Morale

Sorry for this noobish minion question. I don't usually use minions, but have started to recently.

While out on a short trip by myself, I noticed that despite killing 10+ enemies, I was not receiving any Morale boost. Is this normal or a bug? Do kills by minions not counts towards morale?

were you killing bosses?

maybe it was just a graphical bug. did your hp and energy pool not increase as well?

You only get morale boosts from boss kills. You can work off a death penalty however using minions just fine, and death penalties are eliminated by gaining experience.

What? Have I been smoking crack lately? You don't get Morale for killing normal guys? I could swear you do after killing say 10 normal baddies.

But in this case I wasn't even burning off DP.

No, you only get a 2% morale boost for killing bosses, there's no other way to get a positive morale boost. You can kill anything to reduce your DP, but the reduction is based on experience earned, not on number of kills.

Ahh, that's the problem. I was practicing minions in a low level instance. No experience = no dp reduction.

The only time I can think that you get a morale boost for not killing bosses is during certain missions where you are told you will get a morale boost for doing a certain task (like killing all 5 giants in elona's). Other than that killing the ballista dwarves in South Shiverpeaks missions usually nets you a Morale Boost.
