Knew It Was Luck

Story: This morning I was going through some things and found my good luck coin form years ago (the collectors coin that came in Space Jam VHS). I KNEW it was still lucky.

Skip to after school: I decide I'll just get some hydra claws and get the collectors max dmg 15>50 ascalon bow that shots like a shortbow instead of paying 1-2k for one here on the forums (I know they look horrible..but I aint proud enough not to use them). I say "WTB hydra claws" in Augury Rock. This guy says join his team..turns out he was going to farm the hydras and said I could tag along and take all the claws and whatever drops I got from it. This guy was the NICEST guy I've met in awhile on there..I ended up with enough claws, a purple max dmg water staff, and a gold max dmg Fiery Dragon Sword.

So I had money alittle later: So I decide to put some in storage so I can get on the lvl4 warrior/monk I have in ascalon (I made him like week I started palying, but had no money to advance him) and buy him the best armor in Ascalon, and some runes. RIGHT as I login..I see "WTS various bow grips and strings for 50ea so I dont have to sell to merchant". I go over to check it out after withdrawing the money.....He had 4 upgrades he put up..Icy Bowstring, Poisoner's Bowstring, Grip of Fortitude +20, Grip of Shelter +5. I got all 4 for 200gp...steal of the century for me (Poisoner's alone would have sit me back 1-1.5k).

Then I go outside (after getting armor) but I forgot henchman. opps..I go and fight anyway...Lo and behold - It doesnt matter, cause the AScalon gloves i put on for the dmg reduceing is making all the enemies hit 0s 99% of the time (highest I got hit for was 2 from a lightning orb).

Before anyone bashes him for saying he was lucky when he didn't get anything like a sup vigor, remember this. HE FOUND SOMEONE REALLY NICE IN GW! THAT IS LUCKY!


I had a lucky day a week ago when I noticed my ele had a HoD sword in her inventory.

heh, a nice player in GW. that's so amazing that i almost don't believe it.

my lucky story: i found 4 shards in one Fissure run. yes, 4 shards isn't much, but it was enough to get me my chest piece of 15k armor. i was nearly out of my seat with ecstacy anyway.

I been on a FoW trip were the monk got 8 shards and 6 keys! What did we get? NOTHING!


(And the monk wasn't all that good either)

ive realised that the person that is added last or is on the bottom of the list almost never gets a good droP.my lucky item is this huge pebble i found in some persons garden. i dipped it in melted plastic when i found it and put a smily face on it.that was when i was 9yrs old.kept it for 9yrs
its the luckeist thing ever, i always hav it in my pocket when i farm.

That's nothing. I joined a random PUG that said they needed 3 more players so they could run to the Crafter in FoW. Well, as we play and make our way there, we all start to notice the drops are severely out of balance. One of the random Eles that joined the group was litterally getting all the shard drops. By the time we made it thru all the quests and got to the crafter, the Ele in question had recieved 12 shards and 2 gold drops, one of which was a gold Storm Bow from the chest that appears after the first quest. I think the only other note-worthy drop on the way there was a lone shard that went to one of the monks. We played a little further in after the crafter and the Ele got 3 more shards before we decided to leave. That must have been the Ele's best FoW run ever.

15 shards would equal 45k which would equal a lot of crafting materials that could go towards a new set of 15k frostbound or a new Brohn's Holy Staff............

why?! why am i never that bloody lucky?!

Luckiest I ever got was getting 2 Sup. Smitings off of Massacre's Rune run. Not as lucky as my freind's 3 Sup. Vigors and 2 Absorbs, but with the way my luck usually runs, I'll count my blessings

im never lucky the only time i whas when i got a max-damage golden chaos axe with super upgrades (still need to tweak it) that im using now 0.0

my luckiest time was probably when someone sold me a razorstone axe for 15k when Sf was about 2 weeks old =P sold for 120k. ok 105k isnt a great amount of cash but still worth 20 mins mof my time.

Luck for me is just finding a decent group, one that actually talks to each other and works together. I never liked it when you join a PUG, and nobody in the group talks to each other, except to say "omg heal nub" because they rush in and get surrounded every time.

in a run through Thirsty River i was given a Rune of Superior Healing (when they were worth like 30k) by a greatful team member on the same run as i found a superior absorption.

on a run in fissure i got all but one of the shards. and a ruby. and a gold shadow staff.

i found 2 superior vigors on one mission run.

all with Big Jim. he used to be one lucky SOB.

Hmm. The luckiest run I ever had was a Grenth's/SF run I went on in a 5 man group. I got all three greens that dropped, but they weren't the best ones. I think I got the Yakslapper (which I gave to the monk guildie in the group because she was looking for it), Brohn's Rod, and I think the Rockmolder. I've never found a superior rune of anything. Hell, I'm happy if I get a Major Vigor. I probably have the worst luck when it comes to drops. I've never made it over 70k in cash either and Ive been playing since the release.
