Do people still play this game?

I got bored of it a month after it came out because I had reached level 20 and accumalted 600k of gold and there wasnt much to do besides guild battles.. what keeps you playing this game?

other than that i find that trying to think up new builds occupies quite a bit of my time in GW. and conversing with guildmates about their builds as well. i also have a looooooong attention span

600K in one month? Clearly farming non-stop has made you bored of the game since unless you got that gold off eBay there no way you could have made 600K in a single month.

I say the same to you that I say to others:

"Getting to level20 quickly is the idea, level is not important, if your bored go play another game"

what keeps you up at 4am posting on forums; questioning yourself play'n games?

Why do people still play counter strike?
why do people still play starcraft?
why do people still play on a console like xbox; then to go online with xbox live and play halo 2 for billions of hours and still acumulate nothing?

You sound like a player that is not enticed by pvp. pve is not an evergreen in GW. Maybe you should find a more appropriate game. However this game still takes my interest, and many others.

Playing top 100 Guilds in GvG. So much fun getting your ass handed to you by Pravus Phasmatis or Eternum Pariah. Also, winning is alot more fun, especially to an equally skilled guild.

Also, PvE is great still, if you mix up your regular areas a bit. I played Sorrows Furnace to death for a while, then went back to Ascalon (farming for Haloweeeeen items, and I got my first black dye drop there today. From a grawl).

Edit - I was in that conga line the screenshots link to. Twas quite the fun night.

Alas, poor Rurik bites the dust and comes back undead. Sorry for the spoiler. I loved him too, until I had to beat his arse down to cap hundred blades. Then you might not like him sooo much. =)

heh i keep playing coz, like you, i was bored within a month. took two or three months off... and now it's fun again. just coz its online doesn't mean you have to play it constantly. I do this with all my games. Means they're fresh and exciting when I go back to them after a lengthy break.

Showing off your ubber farming (or ebay buying) abilities or just bored enough to start yet another redundant thread? If you farmed 600k in one month, I'm sure you can find very interesting games such as WoW or EQ2 to grind forever to get the next PvE carrot. Meanwhile we'll have fun playing GW (if you don't mind, that is).
