27 from an offhand from collector...
and if u used a staff with +17 energy ( 12 + 5 ) that would only get u to 49...

Yeah, 32+27+15=74, but you'd only have 1 energy regen.

normal hotspots are 9, 13, and 14.
for a trapper, high expertise is a must.
the suggestions made here for higher energy are doable, but require focusswapping for energyregain. this requires a bit of skill. I suggest you first practice with high experise and a staff with 15 energy (10 energy + 5 insightfull).

Not worth it unless like she said she uses blood rituel to energy regen.

a maxed out energy regen doesnt do better than a Offering of Blood, my orginal build was going to do spike trap and BR; well im tired of THK ppl so I took Offering of blood and me and a guild mate tested out BR with only bare hands and compared to Offering of Blood; try it if you like, but you'll come out short...
If I use the 64 energy type i can maintain over 40 energy indenfinatly; 73 energy I could use as a backup for a low # then use a OoB

The thing is tho...I'm a Ranger MONK...not a Ranger NECRO....I dont have blood ritual.......I may have to find off hand weapons....trapping is fun but only if you have enought mana to do it.

Have you even *tried* with lots of expertise? I've gone R/Everything, and with 14 expertise, unless I'm using lots of non-expertise skills (like say, using Oath Shot + Meteor Shower), I've never had a problem with energy. Yes, I've even tried a trapper team in UW under QZ while using studded armor and a bow (I was waiting for recharge still, not energy). Having 14 expertise makes all of your traps cost 7 energy, except for Dust Trap, which would be 11.
I would rather have skills have half cost than have double max energy. When your energy is 0, that extra max energy isn't doing you any favors.

Well, thanks all for your opinions/suggestions....thats why I like this place over Guil-Hall.net...people are nicer and more helpful here
I broke down and got a Major Rune of Expertise...and now have 14 expertise to play with (tho, I tried going in a trapping group after and because it wasn't 16, I could'nt join....go fig). I do miss my HP of 560(it fluctuates between 410-460- depending on the bow I use), but to have less time, I don't worry about it much...set more traps, and watch everything die with out even having to shoot my bow....LOL.
Thanks again...I'll continue to play with more energy ideas as well.
